THIS IS ME...

So I am not the best about talking about myself so I would love to share a few things about me that I think are the most important.

  1. I am a mummy to my two boys and Percy the Springer Spaniel
  2. I split my time between a small village near Stamford and Peterborough in Cambridgeshire where I grew up and in the South of France where we have a house near the beach.
  3. I have probably tried my hand at every sport possible, and likely failed at most - particular highlights being my season as a rower (had to beg to be put in a boat because I was too small), a near broken jaw from softball and who could forget accidentally coming second in a race where i went the wrong way (still have the trophy).
  4. It wasn't until I discovered photography at university that I felt able to express myself. I started photographing wonky landscape pictures whilst cycling around Wales which developed into a love of travel photography. Since then I have taken my camera with me to three continents.
  5. I have a law degree and it took me 10 years working in a law firm to realise that I needed to follow my passion and so Emma Jayne Photography was born.
  6. I never take myself too seriously. Having as much fun as possible is really important to me and I continue that through my relaxed and fun style of photography.

Therefore if you are looking for a cheerleader, who likes to have a laugh, but who will always go above and beyond I would love to hear from you.

I am a natural, documentary inspired wedding photographer... but what does that actually mean?

To me documentary wedding photography is all about capturing the raw and unscripted moments of the day. I want your wedding gallery to tell the beautiful story of your day, capturing all the little details, the people and the emotions that made the day truly special. My style of candid wedding photography ensurers that I capture the energy, emotions, the laughter and the tears that all go together to make your gallery full of little stories from your wedding day.

Of course we will still get those must have family group shots that will be such important memories one day and I will occasionally provide gentle prompts and guidance to ensure that your photos turn out as beautiful as you had imagined, but mainly I spend the day blending in with the surrounding and just having fun with you all.
