The Wedding Experience
Relax, enjoy the moment and let’s take some beautiful pictures
This isn’t about a photo shoot, or even the pictures, it’s about you experiencing the best day of your life. My style is natural, down to earth and and fun loving. My only goal is to capture your day in the most authentic way possible. Please have a look below to discover more about the journey to me becoming your wedding photographer and beyond.

STEP 1 | FOLLOW YOUR HEART

Other than your new spouse your wedding photographer will likely be the person that spends the most time with your on your wedding day. That is why it is so important that you make the right choice for you and that you share the same vision for your wedding day. My typical couples come to me because they value the lifelong memories that good wedding photography will give them and trust me to deliver that for them. I love to get to know all my couples in the months leading up to their weddings, whether that is through an engagement shoot, meeting via zoom or simply sending memes to each other (sometimes not even about anything wedding related). If you love my portfolio and want to find out more then please reach out via my Contact Form and we can begin this journey together.

STEP 2 | LETS MEET

So you've decided that you love my natural and relaxed style of wedding photography! Amazing news! Once you've reached out to make sure I am available on your wedding date then lets find an hour in the diary to chat. This can be over the phone or via zoom. I do prefer to meet with each couple before they book to make sure we are the perfect fit. The short meeting will simply be the perfect opportunity to get to know each other a little and to give you the opportunity to ask me any questions about wedding photography or the wedding process in general. I am happy to share tips and tricks without there being any obligation to book with me (although I always hope you do). Once you have made the (in my opinion best) decision to book with me I will swiftly send you my contract and booking fee invoice so that we can make it official.

STEP 3 | GETTING TO KNOW YOU

After you are officially in my diary the next step will be to get to know each other a little more. The perfect way to bond with each other is with an engagement session where we will spend an hour together and your only job is to have fun and get used to the camera. An engagement session with will be a longer version of your wedding day couple portraits, so you will have plenty of practice in time for the big day. Even if you don't think you're photogenic or you dislike PDA, I promise that you both will walk away from the session having had a great time and making some fantastic memories. You'll also feel much more prepared for your wedding day and hopefully less stressed about all those wedding day portraits.
If you decide that an engagement session is not for you then that is okay as well. We will keep in touch over the months in the lead up to your wedding and I will make sure that extra attention is given to you in the final few weeks to make sure you are ready for your wedding day.

STEP 4 | DESIGNING THE TIMELINE

It is my job to make sure that the photography runs smoothly and on time on your day so about 8 weeks before your wedding day arrives we will need to start think of creating a perfect timeline for your day. It is so important that we carve out enough time on the day to ensure a stress-free process of capturing those beautiful moments and quality photos that you've always dreamed about, with enough time to make sure you can actually enjoy the day as well. I will be available in the months leading up to your wedding day to answer any questions (photography related or not) but we will also dedicate a specific time to go over all the finer details.

STEP 5 | YOUR WEDDING DAY

The day has finally arrived, after all those months of planning the day will go by in a flash! On your wedding day itself I will be around to capture those intimate, fun and emotional moments that truly makes every wedding unique. My favourite part of the day is watching your friends and family come together to celebrate you as a couple. As a candid wedding photographer I love to capture authentic moments that happen throughout the day in a unique and fun way. At some point during the day I will also make time to steal you away for a few minutes, not only to capture some gorgeous portraits of you together, but to also give you time alone to take a breath and take it all in. Depending on the schedule we may also have time to go out at sunset or in the evening for some creative flash photography at twilight.

STEP 6 | RECEIVING YOUR MEMORIES

The day is over, the cake is eaten and the night has been danced away. I do not believe in waiting weeks and weeks to send over your first glimpse of your wedding day. Within 24 hours of your day you will receive around 10-15 previews from the day before. These will be a small but wonderful insight into your day and something to treasure whilst you wait for your full gallery to be ready.
Once your photos are ready you will receive access to your online gallery where you will be able to view your wedding photos, download and order prints all in one place. I encourage couples to sit down together at a time that you are fully phone and tablet free so you can lock yourself away and completely immerse yourselves into each memory from your day.
FAQ's
Do you recommend investing in a wedding album?
Without a shadow of a doubt. I get so excited when my couples choose to add on a wedding album to their package. A wedding album will become one of the long lasting memories of your day that will last generations. My wedding albums are handmade by a lovely small business in the UK so you can be sure that the quality is excellent and will provide you with treasured memories for a lifetime.
should i have a second photographer?
This is completely up to you. I am able to capture a full wedding day on my own. However, as much as I would love to be, i cannot be in two places at once. If you and your partner are getting ready at two different locations then having a second photographer will also both of you to be captured getting ready. You will also have a gallery full of amazing candid guest photos from your drinks reception whilst I am with you and your bridal party capturing those important family shots.
FAQ's
WHAT IS CANDID wedding PHOTOGRAPHY?
This is such a great question. To me candid photography is to focus on those spontaneous moments of laughter, love and connection. Those authentic moments are ones that I believe truly tell the story of your day and I cannot get enough of them!
So do you not pose couples on the wedding day?
Posing or prompting should not be seen as a bad thing. My preference is to guide my couples throughout the day during those couples portraits or during preparation photos so that they have the best light and flattering angles for their gallery. However, 90% of the day will be captured totally organically with minimal input from me so that you and your guests can enjoy every moment you have together without interference.
FAQ's
How long does it take to receive the final edited photos?
I completely understand the anticipation of seeing your final photos. My final editing process to deliver your beautifully hand edited gallery takes around 6-8 weeks, depending on the time of year and on the amount of coverage from the day. I prioritise quality and attention to detail in every wedding gallery to ensure the photos delivered to you are ones you will cherish for a lifetime.
How many photos will be in our final gallery?
As above, every wedding day is different, the number of photos in each gallery will depend on the amount of coverage and the number of guests and special events that occurred on your wedding day. As a minimum a full wedding day of around 10 hours coverage will see at least 450 images in the final gallery.
